HR Giger (Hans Rudolf “Ruedi” Giger) is a Swiss surrealist painter, sculptor, set designer, music artist cover designer, and so much more. After winning an Academy Award for Best Achievement for Visual Effect for His design work on the film Alien, he gained more of a sub-pop culture following that had taken him from a painter and sculptor, to so much more.
